Contemporary Dance
Dance Creations has such a nurturing, encouraging and supportive atmosphere where children thrive.
Age: 9 to 15 years
In the contemporary classes, students enjoy exploring the natural movement patterns of the body and its relation to breath, musicality and space. Co-ordination will be challenged whilst creating fun phrases or tasks that will incorporate changes of direction, floor patterns or moving arms and legs in different ways at the same time.
The Laban movement principles, various release based principles, creative dance techniques as well as Limón dance principles are often present within these classes.
TERM DATES
Term 1 – Monday 3rd February to Saturday 12th April
Term 2 – Monday 28th April to Saturday 5th July
Term 3 – Monday 21st July to Saturday 27th September
Term 4 – Monday 13th October to Friday 12th December
TUITION
Level 1 Contemporary
$270 per term (75 minute class)
Level 2 Contemporary
$290 per term (90 minute class)
INCLUSIONS
Membership for the Contemporary Program is based on a 37 week year, and spread across 4 equal termly payments and will include:
- Welcome Pack
- Concert Costume (1 concert costume per registered class)
- A Day with the WA Ballet (Term 1 or 2)
- End of Year Certificate & Concert Medal
- Complimentary downloadable link of the Concert Recording
